A hotel under the sea

Want to sleep under the sea? The company Planet Ocean has plans for an exciting underwater hotel, which they hope to build in locations all over the world.

The hotel won’t be large, with only 12 guest rooms, plus a restaurant. Guests will get to the hotel in a lift – so no diving or getting wet! The hotel will float 10 metres under the ocean, although it will be attached to the sea bed to prevent it from moving too far. Because it won’t be very deep under the water, the sun will shine down and provide light. Guests will get great close-up views of the fish and other sea creatures, which won’t be bothered by the hotel and so won’t make any effort to avoid it.

The hotel’s design, with walls made of clear plastic, means that when you are in your room, you will see the sea in front of you, behind you, above and below you. You will almost get the feeling that you are swimming in the ocean. The luxury rooms will have excellent facilities, including a shower, TV and even the Internet. The restaurant will serve high quality meals. However, Planet Ocean want to encourage people to eat less fish, so you won’t find any on the menu. The atmosphere will be completely silent though, so you will have to imagine the sound of the ocean around you.

The hotel won’t be cheap to build, and it won’t be cheap to stay in. But the designers are especially proud of the fact that it will be environmentally friendly. It will use electricity, of course, but it will produce its own, and won’t disturb ocean life at all. In fact, the designers hope some sea creatures will build their homes on parts of the building, which will bring real benefits to the underwater world.

Mediante Real Decreto del Gobierno se otorga al titular de la Secretaría General de Agricultura y Alimentación, dependiente del ministro, la competencia para otorgar las autorizaciones relativa a la comercialización de determinados productos fitosanitarios.

Se establece como la exigencia de un informe previo de la autoridad de la comunidad autónoma del domicilio del solicitante así como la aplicación al procedimiento de lo dispuesto en la Ley 39/2015, de 1 de octubre, del Procedimiento Administrativo Común.

En el trámite de información pública al que se somete el expediente, una asociación ecologista formula observaciones al considerar que el producto X podría ocasionar daños relevantes en el medio ambiente.

Mediante resolución del Secretario General, de fecha 15 de abril (martes), se deniega la autorización a la empresa «Mideling S.A», señalando únicamente que contra la misma, ésta podrá interponer el recurso que corresponda para la mejor defensa de sus intereses. El centro de educación infantil «Carmen Orenes», sito en el complejo  de Nuevos Misterios Madrid, aprueba el 10 de mayo de 2015 las listas definitivas de alumnos admitidos para el curso 2015/2016 en el centro de educación infantil.

El Ayuntamiento de Murcia decide abrir procedimiento contra Rafael, vecino de la misma localidad, al haber recibido denuncias de muchos vecinos en las que se ponía de manifiesto que Rafael, que tiene una empresa de químicos, vertía sustancias de manera irregular en el rio Segura y que se encontraban preocupados por la repercusión que esto podía estar teniendo el entorno, tanto por el medioambiente como por la propia salud de la comunidad.

El 5 de octubre de 2016 Rafael recibe la notificación en la que se pone en su conocimiento el acuerdo de iniciación del expediente administrativo sancionador. Durante la instrucción del referido procedimiento, Rafael solicita la práctica de dos pruebas, una relativa a las horas en las que dicen los vecinos que vertía las sustancias y otra en relación a las sustancias mismas. Ambas pruebas son rechazadas sin darle ninguna explicación. Finalmente se acuerda imponer a Rafael una sanción de 1.500 euros, en acuerdo sancionador de fecha 11 de diciembre, que le es notificado el día 23 del mismo mes.

D. Antonio el 1 de octubre de 2016 solicita al Ayuntamiento de Benidorm licencia para la construcción de un cine en la calle esteban de dicho municipio. El día 16 de octubre del mismo año el Ayuntamiento le requiere sobre la base del artículo 68 LPAC, para que en el plazo de 10 días acompañe los documentos preceptivos que enumera conforme exige la legislación autonómica, advirtiéndole que de no hacerlo en dicho plazo se resolverá teniéndolo por desistido. Transcurrido el plazo de 10 días D. Antonio presenta otra solicitud con idéntico objeto.

En el municipio de Denia (Alicante), la empresa Aguas Mansas S.L. ha solicitado una autorización de aprovechamiento de aguas minerales. D. Carlos Hernández en su calidad de presidente de la asociación de vecinos a favor del medioambiente de Denia, está preocupado por el impacto ambiental que la explotación de estos recursos pueda generar en el litoral de la zona, habida cuenta de su importancia como destino turístico y tras la realización de las averiguaciones oportunas, localiza en el Boletín Oficial de la Comunidad Valenciana el acuerdo por el que se abre el periódico de información pública del proyecto técnico por el que se dirige a la Dirección General de Industria, Energía y Minas solicitando información al respecto, averiguando que la solicitud de inicio del procedimiento de evaluación ambiental y la solicitud de autorización de plan de restauración y los documentos relativos a la misma fueron presentados electrónicamente en esta Dirección General con fecha 6 de octubre de 2016.
