A family of dancers

The women in the Watson family are all crazy about ballet. These days, Alice Watson gives ballet lessons, but for many years, she was a dancer with the National Ballet Company. Her mother, Hannah, also had a full-time job there, making costumes for the dancers.

Alice’s daughter Demi started learning ballet as soon as she could walk. ‘I never taught her,’ says Alice, ‘because she never let me.’ Now aged sixteen, Demi is a member of the ballet company where her mother was the star dancer for many years.

Alice’s husband, Jack, is an electrician. They met while he was working at a theatre where she was dancing and got married soon after. ‘When Demi started dancing, the house was too small for her and Alice to practise in so I made the garage into a dance studio. Now the living room is nice and quiet when I’m watching television!’ he says.

Last month, Demi was invited to dance in the ballet Swan Lake. Of course, Alice and Hannah were in the audience and even Jack was there, which made it very special for Demi. Jack says, ‘I’m not that interested in ballet myself but it’s fantastic seeing Demi taking her first steps with Alice’s old company!’ Demi was wearing a dress that Hannah made for Alice many years before.

It was very exciting for all of us,’ says Hannah. ‘Demi’s way of dancing is very like Alice’s. I know I’m her grandmother, but I think she has a great future!’

Last year I wrote for my college magazine, which I found really difficult, but I don’t think it’s hard to write a good blog. Mine is about things from daily life that make me laugh. My older brother also has a blog, but we’re writing about different subjects. We don’t discuss what we’re planning, but we read each other’s blogs sometimes. I like giving advice to people who write in asking for it – it’s good to know I’ve helped.

I started writing my popular film blog because I love movies. I like it when readers send me articles by email about a film they’ve seen, and I put these on my blog for everyone to read. I’m still at college, so I’m careful about spending too long on my blog, which is difficult as writing well takes time. I don’t think I’ll write it for much longer. I’m busy, and it’s time to do something new.

I began writing on a school magazine. I stopped after a few years, but I missed it, so I started my own – I’m still writing it now! The blog’s new for me, and I write about daily life. I get ideas from friends or my sister when I can’t decide what to write about – we always think of something interesting, sad or serious. Víctor Pérez Solano es un funcionario del Cuerpo de Ayudantes de IIPP que presta servicio como área mixta en el Centro Penitenciario Murcia II. El 9 de diciembre de 2018, Víctor no se presenta a trabaja, a pesar de haber sido nombrado como servicios mínimos dado que ese día comenzaba una huelga general en el ámbito penitenciario.

Por tal motivo se le incoa un expediente disciplinario, adoptándose mediante resolución motivada una medida de carácter provisional que asegure la eficacia de la resolución final que pudiera recaer. Concretamente, la suspensión provisional se inicia el 25 de enero de 2019 y finaliza el 3 de marzo de 2019, que es cuando pasa a definitiva.

Cuando Víctor se incorpora a su puesto de trabajo el 1 de junio de 2019, tiene una pequeña discusión con un compañero, por lo que decide no ir a trabajar el 15 de junio de 2019, sin que justifique la falta de asistencia al trabajo.

Las retribuciones de Víctor son las siguientes:

Pablo Motos es un interno penado que lleva durante 6 meses trabajando en el economato del centro penitenciario donde se encuentra recluido, hasta que el 11 de junio de 2016, se le comunica que tiene que dejar el trabajo, motivándole el asunto a que se debe por razones de disciplina y seguridad penitenciaria. Pablo coge tal enfado, que presenta una instancia donde solicita ser trasladado de centro penitenciario.

En el Centro Penitenciario Murcia I hay disponible un puesto de trabajo como «ayudante de cocina». De todas formas los internos interesados en trabajar, destacamos los siguientes:

• Pedro Pablo León Jaramillo, es un interno penado y clasificado en segundo grado. Ha disfrutado de varios permisos ordinarios de manera satisfactoria. Está divorciado de su primera mujer con la que tiene tres hijos. Actualmente tiene una nueva pareja. Nunca ha trabajado en un puesto similar al ofertado, puesto que siempre se ha dedicado al tráfico de drogas. Lleva en prisión 9 años, aunque hace escasamente dos meses llegó al Centro Penitenciario Murcia I.
• Palo Emilio Escobar Gaviria, esta preso en el centro en calidad de preso provisional desde hace 5 meses. Supuestamente asesinó a su mujer y a sus dos hijos. El tiempo de permanencia en prisión lo ha estado aprovechando realizando cursos de inglés y de marroquinería. Antes de estar en prisión, era el dueño de un restaurante que tenia mucha fama por lo buen cocinero que era.
• Joaquín Guzmán Loera, es un interno penado a 3 años de prisión por un delito de robo con violencia. No tiene cargas familiares ni se le conoce trabajo alguno. En su programa de tratamiento individual se contempla la necesidad imperiosa de una actividad laboral.

Finalmente para el puesto de trabajo es elegido Joaquín Guzmán Loera. A los dos meses de estar trabajando es trasladado al Centro Penitenciario Albacete para asistir a un juicio como testigo. A su vuelta sigue con su relación laboral especial penitenciar hasta que finalmente cumple su condena y obtiene la libertad definitiva.

En el Centro Penitenciario Villabona (Asturias) hay varios internos deseosos de trabajar. En el catálogo de actividades hay dos puestos de trabajo, donde se especifica la formación y las características de cada uno. El primero de los trabajos es de panadero y el otro de ayudante de cocina.

El órgano encargado de la elección adjudica el puesto de panadero a Luis FF, el interno penado a 8 años de prisión, casado con dos hijos y sin experiencia laboral. El puesto de ayudante de cocina se lo adjudica a Ufua. Godwin, interno preventivo que tiene una experiencia laboral como ayudante de cocina de 9 años aproximadamente.

En el programa individualizado de tratamiento Oscar TT contempla el desarrollo de una actividad laboral, concretamente una que esté relacionada con la elaboración.

El interno Isidro GG que no ha trabajado en su vida, es un penado clasificado en segundo grado, con una conducta penitenciaria intachable y que está bastante a disgusto con la institución penitenciaria, porque a su juicio debería de haber sido elegido para uno de los puestos.

Cuando lleva dos meses trabajando Luis, se suspende su relación laboral especial ya que coincide el horario de trabajo, con un programa de tratamiento que tiene que hacer.

El interno Ufua, es trasladado al CP Zamora para asistencia a juicio.
